Château Tour de Calens
The Doublet family have been making wines on the nearby Chateau Vignol Estate since the late 1800’s. The Chateau is steeped in history and once belonged to the famous philosopher Baron de Montesquieu.
In 1987, in search of new flavours, they crossed the Garonne to invest in Beautiran in the Graves of the north. Château Tour de Calens was reborn.
South of Bordeaux, on the left bank of the Garonne, the Château and its tower command a 10 hectares vineyard anchored in soil and deep grey sands.
Alexander watches over the cru, faithful to the family philosophy creating elegant and fruity wines. Red Graves, chiseled by the finesse of the ripe Cabernet-Sauvignon (75% of the blend) offers both concentration and elegance.
