Why you'll love this wine?
There’s nothing ‘Primitivo’ about this huge Italian red wine from Puglia. Tavros is another big, robust, complex proposition bursting with ripe black fruits, cherry, cocoa, coffee and vanilla and a subtle citrus note too. It all finishes off superbly with a warm mellow peppery note that settles to hints of wood and spice.
Massively well reviewed by whoever has the pleasure of pulling a cork, good ole’ Luca Maroni gave this one 98 Points. With a Vivino rating of 4.2 from 800 reviewers this is another superstar Super Tuscan wine that you really shouldn’t miss.

Tavros is going to hold its own against any rich indulgent food, game casserole, rich pasta dishes, meats of any kind and if you’re feeling decadent… open a bottle with that Ribeye steak you’ve thrown on the BBQ!

“94pts me 94 Gary Vanerychuck The best primitivo/zinfandel I have ever had under 50 USD. This is beyond belief. Super intense, ripe, powerful, jammy, in your face yet soft and ready and velvety. Tones of blackcurrant, cherries and berries over just a touch of oak.Incredible in all fronts… What a steal. Buy a case.”
“…..here is another “not to be missed” Italian classic; my first experience with this varietal and it was impressive; the wine is a deep purple in color and the bouquet exhibits noted of plums, cherries, vanilla, and spice; there is a noticeable depth and an incredibly long finish; excellent value!!!”
