Why you'll love this wine?
Blending Italy’s common man, Barbera, with the nobel Nebbiolo might seem like oenology tomfoolery. But whether the result be common man or King, we’re in no doubt, this stuff rocks!
Bricchetta is a rich, complex, full-bodied wine and could, in the wrong hands, be an incoherent fruity, madman of a drink. But this is a La Bollina wine and thankfully, the 14 months it gets in oak, tempers that wild spirit and instead makes magic happen!
Nebbiolo adds distinctive strawberry and herbaceous complexity to Barbera’s cherry, licorice and blackberry foundation. Throw in a little pepper, some earthy minerality and the mellow warmth of the oak and the result is really quite special.
Chewy, dry, fruity fireworks… delicious! Buy this and make Lasagne!

“This is a flat out fun wine. Bought on a whim. Did with pizza on a Friday night. 85% Barbera 15% Nebbiolo. Deep dark fruit with rich tannins. Rich lingering flavour on the back end of the palate. So I glad I bought this.”
“Deep smokey cherries with very nice body after opening. Peppery, vanilla, strawberries, smooth, really nice…”
